As a self-identified woman of color in the Austin mental health field, I discovered a need to bring together like-minded folx who are a cultural minority. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to connect with other therapists who are of color and also understand the complexities that come with this identity.

Austin Therapists of Color is a professional monthly meet-up for therapists, mental health professionals, and students who self-identify as a person of Color. The purpose of this meetup is to provide a safe, supportive space for all the above working in clinics, hospitals, non-profits, government, academia, private practice and other therapeutic settings. Part of our mission is to provide opportunities to build community and improve networking opportunities within the greater Austin therapist community.
